Mini-course: Lie Groupoid C*-algebras and Applications to Twisted Index Theory (4 Lectures)

Abstract:
In this lecture series, I will give an elementary introduction to differential geometry of Lie groupoids,
groupoids $C^\ast$-algebras, pseudo-differential calculus and index theory on Lie groupoids. As an application,
I will discuss joint work with Paulo Carrillo Rouse on the geometric twisted $K$-homology groups and the geometric assembly maps for
twisted Lie groupoids (twisted differentiable stacks).

王百灵，澳大利亚国立大学教授，研究范围广泛，专长群胚以及奇异空间上$C^\ast$-代数和指标理论，twisted $K$-理论，规范理论和低维拓扑，辛几何与拓扑。近期论文在《Advances in Mathematics》，《Annales Scientifiques de l'Ecole Normale Superieure》，《Journal of Differential Geometry》，《Journal of K-theory》等著名期刊发表。
