The point of view of extended quotients in the Langlands correspondence

Abstract:
We will first introduce the notion of the extended quotient of a space by a finite group acting on it, and provide examples. Next, we will recall the definition of the field F of p-adic numbers, and explain how extended quotients can be used to classify the representations of the group SL_n(F) of matrices with entries in F and determinant equal to 1. After a short presentation of the Langlands correspondence, we will build extended
quotients from Galois representations and compare them to the previous ones. This talk is a colloquium style talk and welcomes graduate students and
motivated undergraduate students.

Anne-Marie Aubert 是法国著名数学家，主攻方向是朗兰兹纲领、表示论与非交换几何。她于 1990年在巴黎第七大学获得博士学位，导师是 Jean-Loup Waldspurger，并于 1997 年在巴黎南大学获得法国指导科学研究资格。Aubert 教授目前是法国国家科学研究中心（C.N.R.S.）的杰出研究员，并在朱西厄数学研究所（巴黎左岸）担任自守形式研究团队的负责人。她是 IMJ-PRG 委员会成员以及巴
